Department of Political Science
University of Alabama

As an IPE scholar, I am interested in understanding the politics of transnational movements of capital, people, and goods/services. Specifically, my research investigates three separate yet interconnected themes in the study of IPE, with a particular focus on the second:

  1. The determinants of transnational movements

  2. The political dynamics associated with the distributional consequences of these movements and associated policies

  3. The impacts of these movements and associated policies.

My approach places a strong emphasis on inclusivity, paying special attention to the diverse experiences of various identity groups. This includes transnational diaspora communities, women, and workers, while also considering the perspectives of the general public and government entities.
